A: We make small-batch, eco-conscious home and skincare products with wholesome ingredients you can trust—like beeswax, tallow, and essential oils. Everything is handmade with love and intention.

Q: Are your products safe for kids and pets?
A: Yes! We use natural, non-toxic ingredients that are generally safe around littles and fur babies. Still, we always recommend keeping products out of reach and doing a patch test for skincare items.

Q: Do you offer local pickup?
A: Yes! For the time being this is only available for residents of Central Iowa. Use code LOCALPICKUP at checkout and keep an eye out for pickup details. For now, all other orders ship from our home studio.

Q: How long will it take to receive my order?
A: Orders typically ship within 3–5 business days. You’ll receive tracking info as soon as your package is on its way!

Q: Can I customize a product or scent?
A: We love custom orders! Send us a message via the contact page or email heythere@threadandcrumb.com and we’ll see what we can do.

Q: Do you offer gift wrapping or notes?
A: Yes! Leave a note at checkout with any special requests, and we’ll make it extra sweet.

Q: How do I care for my Thread & Crumb candles?
A: Always trim your wick to ¼" before each burn to prevent soot and extend the life of your candle. Let it burn long enough to create an even melt pool (about 2–3 hours for most sizes). Never leave a burning candle unattended or near drafts, kids, or pets.

Q: What ingredients do you use in your products?
A: We focus on wholesome, clean ingredients—like local beeswax, tallow, essential oils, and clean oils. We never use synthetic fragrances, parabens, or phthalates.

Q: Are your skincare products suitable for sensitive skin?
A: Yes! Our formulations are made with gentle, nourishing ingredients, and we keep things simple to avoid irritation. But everyone’s skin is different—always do a patch test first, especially with new products.

Q: Are your products vegan?
A: Not all of them. We proudly use ethically sourced animal-based ingredients like beeswax and tallow because they’re traditional, effective, and sustainable. We always list full ingredients for transparency.

Q: How do I use wax melt samples?
A: Pop the sample into a wax warmer (electric or tealight-style). Never add water or leave the warmer unattended. Each sample is around 16g—enough for one or two uses, depending on the size of your warmer.

Q: Do you offer subscriptions or bundle discounts?
A: We’re working on it! Join our email list or follow us on Instagram for updates on new bundles, seasonal drops, and future subscription options.

Q: Do you sell gift cards?
A: Yes! Digital gift cards are available and make a perfect gift for any eco-loving friend. You can find them in the shop menu.

Q: Are your packaging materials eco-friendly?
A: 100%! We use recyclable, compostable, and/or reusable packaging whenever possible—like kraft paper, glass jars, and minimal plastic. It’s all part of our low-waste mission.

Q: What happens if my order arrives damaged?
A: Oh no! We pack everything with care, but accidents happen. Send us a photo and your order number within 7 days of delivery to support@threadandcrumb.com, and we’ll get you taken care of.
